Random Ramblings

Okay, so the following is going to be my b*tch fest for the week because lately people are stupid and they piss me off really easily. So, here it is:

1. Attention college professors, we’re in COLLEGE.  When you assign us a reading or worksheet for homework, guess what, we DON’T need you to read it to us word for word.  As a third year college student, I’m pretty sure that I already now how to read and when you sit there and spend 20 minutes reading something TO me, I feel like I’m back in 6th grade.

2. If you’re one of those loud, obnoxious students who feels compelled to speak up and input you own thoughts about every little thing in class that the professor says, you annoy the crap out of other people.  Especially when you interrupt other people when they are trying to say something or when you simply repeat what someone else has JUST said. 

3. When you ride a bike to class it’s usually common sense to PAY ATTENTION to the people who walk to class so that you don’t run us over.  

4. It’s extremely frustrating, as a political science student, when a college professor tells you that they’re politically neutral yet always somehow find a way to bash one political party and say that their candidates are a bunch or “wing-nuts” or crazies.  For once it would be nice if you simply teach me instead of pushing your own political biases on the class.   

So it’s been quite a while since I’ve posted anything and today felt like a good day to do it. Why? Well, because today is my 20th birthday. For two decades I have enjoyed life and today I am no longer a teenager.

Summer is already well in motion and I can’t believe that it’s already almost July! I am busy interning with U.S. Congressman Thaddeus McCotter and it’s going well. Two of my summer classes end today, which will relieve a great deal of stress from my life.

It’s been nice being home and I really missed my home friends a lot, but I miss my college friends even more. It’s a shame that we all live so far away from each other. I’m excited for school to start back up again so that I may see them again.

When school starts I’ll actually get to sleep in strange as it sounds. And I can’t believe that I’m graduating in December. SCARY!

So summer (well not technically I guess) is finally here. It’s so nice to be home and see everyone that I haven’t spoken to in ages.

I miss everyone from Ferris though and it’s weird being away from them. I go from seeing them multiple times a day, everyday of the week to not seeing them at all. It’s sad really. Hopefully I’ll see them soon :)

I started my first class on Tuesday and the others start this Tuesday. They’re a pain. But I guess that’s my own dumb fault for trying to graduate in 2 and a half years.

Besides classes, the only other bad part about being at home is all the damn drama. I forgot about all of that. Seriously, we’re adults now, can’t we deal with it? Well, apparently not. Ferris friends are relatively non-dramatic (for the most part) but home friends, not so much.

Hopefully the rest of the summer turns out better :)
